Jadon Sancho is in a bright spotlight after performing well last season. Sancho scored 12 goals and 14 assists for Borussia Dortmund within 34 matches. Furthermore, the man also scored a goal in Champions League last season despite only play for seven matches.
His bright performance makes him a target for the summer transfer window. Independent.co.uk is reported that Manchester United has prepared £80m to bring Sancho to Old Trafford. Playing for the Red Devils could be a massive opportunity for Jadon Sancho especially if he is able to bring United back to the winning track.
The transfer, however, is not music to the ears for Wayne Rooney. Manchester United’s legend is concerned with Sancho performance if he moves to Manchester United. Rooney said that Sancho should prioritize his playing time.
“Dortmund is a great club with great fans, they trust their young players and you can see that in Sancho and the progress he has made in the last 12 months,” Rooney told German newspaper Bild.
“Now Jadon has to ask himself whether he would get the playing time he gets in Dortmund when he moves to England, or would he just sit on the bench?
“Playing time is so important for a young player like Jadon, so if he gets the most playing time in Dortmund, he should stay there.”
On the other hand, Borussia Dortmund Sporting Director is insisting that Jadon Sancho will play for Dortmund until next year. As cited from talksport.com the man said that:
“Jadon will play for Borussia Dortmund next season and we are definitely planning with him,” Zorc told Sport Bild.
“I am far from putting a price tag on Jadon, but I maintain that his transfer would be hard to beat even for the biggest clubs in the world at the moment.”
