Solksjaer Comments on United’s New Recruits after a Win Againts Perth Glory

Last season undoubtedly was hard for the Red Devils. Winning only half of the games they played in the Premier League put them in the sixth position last season, and as a result, they lost their ticket to play in Champions League. This condition is a huge disappointment for United’s fans, and a big homework for Manchester United Manager.

As a response to this condition, Solksjaer is relentlessly hunting for good players to land at The Old Trafford. Several offers haven’t been confirmed yet, but some players such as Daniel James and James Garner have signed a deal and played with The Red Devils in the pre-season match.

United won the match with convincing 2-0, but does the manager happy with his squad so far, especially the new recruits that they have? Here is what he said about the new players after the match.

Voted as the man of the match, Daniel James is showing a promising start with Manchester United. He moves quickly and relentlessly in the field, and he also has great vision on how to distribute the ball. The manager is also happy with his performance. He said:

“He is sharp and he started well. It was a good start for him and we’ll nurture him and he’ll be exciting to watch for many, many games I think.”

On the other hand, James Garner got a special note from the manager. Solksjaer wasn’t really happy with some specific moves that James Garner made during the match. The manager said:

“It’s great for James. We’d just had a corner kick and I said to him: ‘get on the edge of the box and score with your first touch’, but I think he had two, so I wasn’t happy with that one! It was a fantastic strike, the boy can play and he’s enjoying tonight.”

Do you agree with the manager? Is this the team that is going to restore Manchester United’s glory? What do you think?
